ELON, N.C. - The 2019 season concluded for the Towson University tennis team on Thursday afternoon in the quarterfinal round of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championships at Elon. The No. 2 seeded Dukes took the win 4-0.

How it Happened

• In doubles action the team of Phoebe Collins and Themis Haliou waged a fight, falling 6-2 to JMU's Daria Afanasyeva and Emma Peterson.
• The Dukes secured the doubles point.
• In singles action Haliou faced Peterson and fell 6-4, and 6-0. The No. 2 slot singles match finished next, with Yevgeniya Shusterman falling to Abby Amos, 6-1 and 6-4. 
• The sixth singles match finished next, Lucy Gloninger went to match point against Amanda Nord, falling 7-5 and 6-1.
