Swimming and Diving to Host Intersquad Scrimmages

TOWSON, Md. -- With the 2020-21 season around the corner, the Towson University men's and women's swimming and diving programs are poised to host an intrasquad scrimmage this weekend at Burdick Pool.

"Both the men's and the women's teams are incredibly excited to get the chance to race this weekend," said head coach Jake Shrum. "They have just completed their first true block of training so, as coaches, we get a great indication of what we need to continue to work on. As athletes, they will have the difficult task of trying to create a meet-like atmosphere with just their teammates, but they are excited for the opportunity."

The diving program will open things Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. On Saturday, the women's side leads the day with a 10:30 a.m. start, followed by the men at 1:30 p.m.

With no spectators allowed at Burdick Pool, all three segments will be shown live on the Towson Swimming and Diving Facebook page. Links will be available later this week on TowsonTigers.com and the program's social media outlets.
