C&R Pub to Host NCAA Volleyball Watch Party

TOWSON, Md. -- As the Towson University women's volleyball team makes its second appearance in the NCAA Women's Volleyball Tournament, C&R Pub in Towson is set to host a socially distanced watch party for the Tigers' first round match.

Towson (6-0) will take on the University of Dayton (13-1) in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. First serve is set for 3:30 p.m. EDT in Omaha, Nebraska. Wednesday's game will be carried on ESPN3.

C&R Pub, located at 1 W Pennsylvania Ave., Towson, MD 21204, will have food and drink specials during the Tigers' match. Fans heading to C&R Pub are asked to abide by all local ordinances from both C&R Pub and Baltimore County as they apply to COVID-19. 

The Tigers and Flyers will be meeting for the fourth time in program history. Dayton has won the previous matchups. Towson and Dayton have not played since the 2008 campaign, however. 

Towson earned its second-straight berth in the NCAA Tournament after sweeping the College of Charleston and Northeastern University in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championships, hosted at SECU Arena. Towson's Nina Cajic was named as the Tournament's Most Outstanding Player while Lydia Wiers and Kristin Spengler were selected to the All-Tournament Team.

A stop-and-start season, Towson went 4-0 during the abbreviated regular season, besting Stony Brook in straight sweeps, coupled with a pair of sweeps over CAA rival Delaware. Towson added a four-set win at Temple as well, the lone match Towson dropped a set.
