RICHMOND, Va. -- After picking up Most Outstanding Performer honors, Towson University volleyball outside hitter Fay Bakodimou was selected as the CAA Offensive Player of the Week. The Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) made its announcement Monday afternoon.

Bakodimou, who hails from Athens, Greece, was pretty much unstoppable during the 2021 Tiger Invitational as she helped Towson to another 4-0 weekend.Bakodimou put away 36 kills in nine sets, averaging four kills per frame. She hit for .446 on the weekend, including an 11-0-17 (.647) against Lehigh in the Tigers' third win over a Patriot League foe. Bakodimou put away double digit kills in every match she played in over the weekend, including 13 against Temple in Saturday's opener. En route to Tiger Invitational MOP honors, Bakodimou dropped in four service aces as well, while picking up 13 digs and aiding six blocks.

Bakodimou is the second Tiger to win weekly honors from the league office this season, joining Nina Cajic, who was selected as the CAA Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 6.

Towson improved to 12-0 on the season, extending the program's regular season winning streak to 36, including the Tigers' 23rd straight win at SECU Arena. Towson picked up another four sweeps over the weekend, besting Lehigh, Florida Atlantic, Temple and Norfolk State in straight sets. Towson has 10 sweeps this season in 12 total matches.
