TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men's basketball team continues to impress the college basketball world, jumping up to No. 10 in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top-25.
Towson rises four spots to the top-10 in the poll from No. 14 last week, being in the top-25 for the third consecutive week.
The 2021-22 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) co-regular season champion locked up the 1-seed in the upcoming CAA Tournament after a victory in the resumed game vs. Delaware on Monday. The Tigers have earned their best DI regular season ever, standing at 24-7 overall and 15-3 in the CAA.
Towson stands with a NET ranking of 59, at one point being as high as 57, the highest-ever for a CAA team since NET rankings were recorded. The Tigers have victories over Kent State and UNCW, each standing in the top-25 of the Mid-Major Poll.
Towson will play the winner of W&M and Northeastern on Sunday, Mar. 6 at noon in Washington D.C. for the quarterfinal round of the CAA Tournament.
