TOWSON, Md. – Towson University offensive lineman KJ Brooks has been selected as a member 2023 FCS Football Central Freshman All-American Team, announced by the organization on Monday.
 
Brooks is one of 49 freshmen across FCS, and one of eight in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) to be honored as a Freshman All-American.  The freshman from Olney, Maryland was one of six offensive linemen across FCS to be honored as Freshman All-Americans.
 
Last season, Mason Woods was a HERO Sports Freshman All-American. 
 
Brooks took over as the starting right tackle for Towson, playing nine games with eight starts.  He helped anchor a line which allowed just 15 sacks on the season, the lowest amount for any team in the CAA.
