TOWSON, Md. – Towson University forward
Sekou Sylla will begin his professional career in Australia with the North-West Tasmania Thunder of the NBL One League.
Sylla will join the Thunder, who are based in Ulverstone, Tasmania, Australia and compete in the NBL One South Conference.
This will be Sylla's first year in the professional ranks after helping the Tigers to a Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Semifinal appearance and back-to-back 20-win seasons for just the second time in program history.
In his lone season with the Tigers, Sylla averaged 5.9 points per game and 4.4 rebounds per game. He appeared in 33 games making 11 starts, shooting 49 percent from the floor.
