COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Tigers dropped an 11-1 decision at Maryland on Tuesday night. Towson only mustered five hits in the contest with
Briana Ramirez leading the charge going 2-2 from the plate with an RBI.
Towson (25-23, 14-10 CAA) closes out their road schedule in the loss and are now 7-14 in road games this season. The Tigers will have one more game at home before heading to New York for the CAA Tournament.

How It Happened:
- Towson would get a pair on in the first after a Briana Ramirez single and Mackenzie Lake walk, however both would be stranded on base.
- Maryland would put up four runs in their half of the first to take an early lead.
- The Tigers would respond in the second. Kristin Toland would reach on a double and get to third on a passed ball. Just batters later she would score on a Ramirez two-out single to cut the deficit to 4-1.
- After the Terrapins added four more runs in the third, Towson would threaten in the fourth. Ally Hickman would reach on a four-pitch walk.
- Briana Ramirez and Cori Jones would follow with a walk and a single to load the bases. However, the inning would end on a strikeout.
- Morgan Wagner would shut down the Terrapins in the bottom of the fourth, but Towson could not extend the game in the fifth as the Tigers fell 11-1 in five innings.
