TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University baseball team's bats stayed hot Saturday afternoon, taking down Stony Brook 12-2 on Senior Day to secure the series win in Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) action.
Towson (19-37, 7-23 CAA) got on the board in the first inning, scoring on an errant throw from center following
Casey Bishop's triple. The Tigers got six more on two hits in the third, highlighted by
James Moses' bases-clearing double down the right field line. Towson extended the lead to 11-0 in the fourth with an RBI single from
Jeremy Wagner and a three-run home run to center from
John Cristino. Bishop hit a double down the left field line in the sixth to plate another run, making it 12-0. Stony Brook (23-29, 14-16 CAA) got on the board in the seventh, scoring on a fielder's choice ground out with the bases loaded and a single to follow, making it 12-2. The Seawolves didn't pick up a hit in the final two frames to cement a 12-2 final score and series victory for the Tigers.

- Casey Bishop went 3-for-5 with an RBI, two runs scored with a double and triple. John Cristino batted 1-for-5 with three RBI and a home run.

- In the first, Casey Bishop hit a triple into the right center gap and scored on the errant throw from the center fielder retrieving the ball.
- The Tigers extended the lead to seven runs in the third inning. The first three scored on a fielding error, fielder's choice groundout and an infield single. After a walk, James Moses hit a double down the right field line, clearing the bases and making it a 7-0 game.
- After a Bryce Frederick double in the fourth inning, Jeremy Wagner hit a single to left to score Frederick. After an Elijah Dickerson single, John Cristino hit a towering three-run home run to straightaway center, giving the Tigers an 11-0 lead.
- In the eighth, Casey Bishop doubled down the left field line with a runner on first to plate another run.
- Stony Brook got on the board in the seventh inning. With the bases loaded, a fielder's choice ground out caught the runner at third base but allowed a run to score. A single to left to follow plated a second in the frame for the Seawolves.
- Russo and Clark closed out the game with two hitless innings pitched in relief on Senior Day to stamp a 12-2 victory for the Tigers.

- Cam Clark's appearance today brings his total to 98 over five seasons with Towson, second all-time behind only Jake Pecilunas.
- Pecko's nine strikeouts marked a single-season high for the Tigers in his 5.1 innings of work.
- Cristino's home run today tied him for ninth all-time in single season home runs in Towson history with 14. That tally ranks tied for fifth in the CAA despite missing part of the season due to injury. Crisinto also picked up his 14th multi-RBI game, the most on the team this season.
