TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University volleyball team hosted the FDU Knights in the Tigers' home opener on Friday night. The Tigers (3-1) defeated the Knights in four sets 25-14, 25-23, 20-25, 25-17 to win Towson's 24th consecutive home match at SECU Arena.
Irbe Lazda led Towson with 13 kills on a .458 hitting percentage and five total blocks.
Victoria Barrett had 12 kills, seven digs and four total blocks.

- The Knights scored the following four points to cut into the deficit, but Towson got five of the next seven points to win the first set 25-14.
- The Tigers jumped out to an early lead in the second set, but FDU tied the score at eight after a 5-2 run.
- The Knights earned a 10-8 edge after consecutive attack errors by Towson, but the Tigers responded with four straight points to take a 12-10 lead.
- The teams continued to go back and forth, exchanging the lead four times before Towson ended the second set with two kills and a block by Aayinde Smith and Barrett to win the set 25-23.
- The third set started with five lead changes before Towson scored four points to have a 10-6 advantage that included back-to-back kills from Nina Cajic.

- The Knights cut into the deficit and got within six points, but Barrett finished the match with an ace and her 12th kill of the match to win the final set 25-17.
