HAMPTON, Va. – The Towson University volleyball team wrapped up the first weekend of conference play with a Sunday afternoon match against the Hampton Lady Pirates. The Tigers (9-3, 2-0 CAA) were victorious over the Lady Pirates (0-4, 0-2 CAA) in four sets 25-14, 24-26, 25-8, 25-16.
Nina Cajic finished with a team-best 14 kills on .300 hitting percentage with eight digs and two aces.
Sara Wasiakowska had a career-high 11 kills and four total blocks.

- Towson held Hampton to a season-low -.113 hitting percentage.
- The Tigers totaled double-digit aces in a match for the second time this season with 11 aces.

How It Happened vs Hampton:
- Hampton gained a 4-2 lead to start the first set, then the Tigers went on a 7-1 run capped off by a Nina Cajic ace to have a 10-5 edge.
- The Lady Pirates trailed by three after scoring four of the following six points.
- Towson went on a 6-1 run getting six kills from six different Tigers to have a 17-10 advantage.
- Back-to-back points by Hampton reduced the deficit to five, but an 8-2 run gave the Tigers the first set 25-14 with Cajic scoring the last six points for Towson.
- The teams started the second set going back and forth with the Tigers getting out to an 8-6 lead.
- The Lady Pirates went on a 5-3 run to gain an 11-10 edge.
- Both teams continued to exchange points tying the score eight times before Towson took a 21-19 lead.
- Hampton responded with four consecutive points to lead 23-21, but the Tigers earned set points after three straight points capped off by a Victoria Barrett ace.

- The Lady Pirates went on a 4-1 run to cut the lead back down to four, then the Tiger closed out the set with a 7-2 run to win Towson's third straight match.
