Towson Men’s Basketball Falls in Overtime to Kennesaw State

LETHBRIDGE, Alberta – The Towson University men's basketball team continued the Western Slam by taking on the Kennesaw State Owls. The Tigers (4-4) dropped the contest, 67-63, in overtime to the Owls (6-2) on Friday night.
 
Mekhi Lowery registered Towson's first double-double of the season with a career-high 14 points and 12 rebounds off the bench. Dylan Williamson led the Tigers with 15 points and two steals.

  • The Owls went 22-of-59 (37.3%) from the floor while Towson shot 25-75 (33.3%).

How It Happened vs Kennesaw State:
  • The Owls opened the game with a 10-2 run to take an early lead.
  • The teams exchanged jumpers, then the Tigers went on a 11-5 run led by Tomiwa Sulaiman's six points to trail by two with 9:35 remaining in the first half.
