Four Tigers Finish in Double Figures; Towson Men’s Basketball Defeats Bryant

TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men's basketball team wrapped up non-conference play against the Bryant Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon. The Tigers (5-8) defeated the Bulldogs (6-8) 70-65 at TU Arena.
 
Tyler Tejada led the Tigers with 18 points and five rebounds while Dylan Williamson had 13 points, three rebounds and three assists. Tomiwa Sulaiman finished with ten points and 11 rebounds off the bench to finish with his first double-double this season.

  • The Tigers won the rebounding battle, 44-33.
  • Towson had 23 points off the bench today compared to only seven for the Bulldogs.

  • Christian May scored six of Towson's first eight points on a pair of three-pointers as the teams were tied at eight early in the first half.
  • Towson then went on a 14-3 run led by Tyler Tejada's seven points to lead 22-11 with 8:59 remaining.
  • The teams went back-and-forth exchanging baskets, then Bryant went on a 7-0 run late in the first half to cut its deficit down to three.
  • Dylan Williamson made a last second layup to give the Tigers a 33-28 lead heading into halftime.
