TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University baseball team (4-16) hosted George Washington (12-9) Wednesday afternoon, falling 7-4 at John B. Schuerholz Park.
Through the first six frames, the game remained tight, with GW holding a 2-1 edge. A fielder's choice and wild pitch gave the Revolutionaries the early edge before Frederick's RBI double down the left field line cut into the deficit. A balk and single added two more for GW in the top of the seventh. Towson tied the game in the bottom of the frame, scoring two on errant throws and a third off the bat of
Jordan Peyton. GW retook the lead in the eighth by way of Nick Mullen's home run to left field. The Revs added two insurance runs in the ninth on back-to-back doubles, sending the game to a 7-4 final.

- Towson reliever Jordan Luton (1-2) took the loss, allowing one earned run on one hit in 1.2 innings.
- GW reliever Andrew Cutler (1-0) registered the win in his scoreless 2.0 inning bid. Brandon Siegenthaler (3) registered the save in his 1.0 clean inning.
How it Happened:
- GW's Robby Wacker knocked in the first run of the game, reaching on a fielder's choice with runners on the corners in the second inning.
- DiTomaso scored on a wild pitch in the third to push the Revolutionaries' lead to two.
- Bryce Frederick put the Tigers on the board with a double down the left field line scored Jordan Peyton from third to cut the deficit to one.
- In the seventh GW scored on a balk with runners on second and third. After a subsequent walk, Rogan's single through the left side gave the Revs a 4-1 lead.
- Towson evened the score in the home half, starting with an errant throw on a sacrifice bunt allowing Brady Nathison to score from second base. With runners on second and third, Peyton's groundout to third plated a run. On the same play, an errant throw back to third to tag Cole Stefano went wide, allowing Stefano to tie the game.
- Nick Mullens' solo home run put GW back on top in the eighth inning.
- In the top of the ninth, back-to-back doubles with a runner on second base gave the Revs a 7-4 lead.
- The Tigers went down in order in the bottom half for a 7-4 final.
