WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – The Towson University women's lacrosse team traveled to New Jersey for an afternoon CAA matchup against the Monmouth Hawks. The Tigers (3-5, 1-1 CAA) scored six goals in the fourth quarter to defeat the Hawks (4-5, 0-2 CAA) 13-9.
 
Milana Zizakovic led the Tigers with five goals while 
Katie Roszko added a career-high three goals and two assists. 
Lindsey Marshall and 
Luca DeMaio each added two goals.
 
Key Stats vs Monmouth:
	- Towson had the edge in the draw control battle, 13-12, including six in the fourth quarter.
 
	- The Tigers scooped up a season-high 21 ground balls compared to 12 for Monmouth.
 
	- Towson finished 18-of-20 on clear attempts while the Hawks went 16-of-20.
 
	- Lindsay Posner finished with a career-high ten saves for the Tigers, while Katie Sullivan had 15 saves for the Hawks.

	- Milana Zizakovic opened the scoring for the Tigers with her 18th goal of the year after she wrapped around from behind the cage and fired a low shot that snuck past Sullivan.
 
	- The Hawks tied the scored a minute later when Danielle McNeely scored her 14th goal of the year.
 
	- The Tigers regained the lead a couple of minutes later when Luca DeMaio converted a one-on-one opportunity after Katie Roszko found DeMaio wide open cutting to the net.
 
	- Zizakovic made the scoreline 3-1 after she converted a free position attempt.
 
	- Lindsey Marshall scored her 13th goal of the season as time expired to give Towson a 4-1 lead going into the second quarter.
 
	- Monmouth ended their 12-minute goal drought with Caroline Brennan's 27th goal to cut the lead in half.
 
	- The teams battled back and forth, until a late goal by the Hawks cut Towson's lead down to one heading into halftime.
 
	- Zizakovic started the third quarter by completing her hat trick after she scooped up a loose ball and fired a shot far post to regain a two-goal lead.
 
	- The teams traded goals midway through the quarter, but Brennan scored her second of the day to cut the lead down to one.
 
	- Zizakovic scored her fourth goal of the day after she spun around her defender and fired a bouncing shot into the back of the net to restore a two-goal advantage.
 
	- Monmouth opened the fourth quarter with two quick goals to tie the score at seven.
 
	- Roszko scored a minute later after she blasted a shot past Sullivan near post to give Towson an 8-7 edge.
 
	- Marshall found the back of the net less than a minute later to double the lead for the Tigers.
 
	- Monmouth cut Towson's lead to one for the fourth time, but Towson responded with four straight goals led by Roszko's two to give the Tigers a 13-8 advantage with 2:13 left.
 
	- The Hawks added a late goal to reach the final score of 13-9 and give Towson its CAA victory of the season.
