TOWSON, Md.- The Towson University tennis team hosted the Johns Hopkins Blue Jays on Saturday afternoon. The Tigers dropped the non-conference match 6-1 to the Blue Jays. In singles action,
Ashira Murray won her match in straight sets at the No.3 flight. In doubles action, the duo of
Mya Spencer and
Sania Suchinsky picked up a 6-4 win. The Black & Gold is set to host Saint Francis U on Wednesday, April 3rd at the Tiger Tennis Complex at 3 p.m.
"It was a disappointing day for us competitively. We came out and dropped a very close doubles point that could have easily gone our way. In singles play, we just weren't up for the challenge and didn't play well enough to beat a solid, disciplined team like Hopkins. We look forward to getting back on track against St. Francis", said head coachÂ
Jamie Peterson.
