ELON, N.C.- The Towson University tennis team faced off against the No.7 seed Campbell Camels in the first round of the CAA Women's Tennis Championship. The Tigers fell to the Camels 4-0 concluding the 2023-24.
In singles action,
Olivia Rothfeld and
Ashira Murray each won their first set, before their matches were stopped short.
Lea Kosanovic and
Chandré Boshoff were leading 4-3 at the No.1 flight in doubles, before the match was stopped short.
"It's always tough to end a season or a college career, but I felt like the team gave a great competitive effort and had legit chances to win numerous matches. Campbell was just a little better today", said head coach
Jamie Peterson.
