Javier Signs as UDFA with Tennessee Titans

TOWSON, Md. – Towson University's Robert Javier will get his chance in the professional ranks, signing as an undrafted free agent (UDFA) with the Tennessee Titans into the National Football League (NFL) on Saturday night.

Players who were registered but not selected in the 2024 NFL Draft may sign with teams after the draft concludes.  Javier signing was announced by NFL reporter Aaron Wilson.

Javier is the first Towson player to be an UDFA since Shane Leatherbury was taken by the Arizona Cardinals as an UDFA in 2020.  Javier will look to be the first Towson player into the NFL since Tye Smith last played in the NFL in 2022.

Javier joins the Tennessee Titans, where Tye Smith played from 2017-2020.

The Bronx, New York native was a fixture in the Towson secondary, being the primary cornerback the past two seasons.  He earned All-Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Second Team honors at cornerback in 2023, being second in the league in interceptions with four and passes broken-up with eight.  Javier defended 26 passes the past two seasons, including being seventh in FCS in passes defended per game in 2022.
