NEWARK, Del. – Down two with three minutes left, Towson University men's basketball saw
Dylan Williamson go on a personal 8-0 run to complete his 27-point night and send the Tigers to a 76-66 victory over Delaware for the team's seventh straight victory.
Towson (13-9, 8-1 CAA) was down 61-59 to Delaware (11-11, 4-5 CAA) with three minutes to go. The Tigers finished the game on a 17-5 run, beginning with three consecutive baskets by Williamson, to take the lead for good.
Towson stands alone in first place in the CAA with an 8-1 league record. Towson was earlier tied with William & Mary, with the Tribe losing to Campbell tonight.

- Towson outrebounded Delaware 36-28 and scored 21 points off turnovers to Delaware's nine.

How it Happened
- Dylan Williamson led the Towson attack early as he countered each of Delaware's first three baskets by making his first three attempts for seven points and an early 7-6 Towson lead four minutes in.
- After some back and forth, Nendah Tarke attacked the basket twice and pushed Towson ahead 11-8. Delaware looked to go on fast break strikes, taking the lead off an Erik Timko three-pointer for a 13-11 advantage with 11:34 left in the first.
- Towson's defense and play in the paint gave the Tigers back the lead after Tarke went one-on-one with Macon Emory and hit the layup. The teams continued to exchange baskets, mainly going after each other in the paint.
- Tyler Tejada kept going into the paint and scored Towson's final four baskets of the first half. Delaware kept the advantage, aided by a couple of John Camden threes, to lead 33-29 at the break.
- Into the second half, Christian May knocked down a corner three to pull Towson within one score in opening minute of the period. Both sides continued to look inside as a couple of free throws off fouls on layup attempts got Towson within two at 37-35 with 17:41 left in the second.
- Tarke forced a steal as Towson earned the 2-on-1, leading to a Mekhi Lowery dunk. After Delaware retook the lead, Williamson knocked down a step back three, then next possession, hit a driving layup for a 44-42 Towson lead with 12:53 to play.
- Williamson continued to attack, hitting another layup to bring Towson's lead to four. He continued to shake off defenders and hit a top-of-the-arc three for a 49-42 Towson lead with 11:13 left.
- At 51-45 Towson, Delaware went on a 10-0 run to retake the lead 55-51.
- Towson chipped away, using defense and free throws to get back into the game. Tejada drove to the basket to hit the layup to tie the game again at 59-59 with four minutes left.
- Delaware retook the lead into the final media with a Timko layup. Williamson again took command, hitting back-to-back three to push Towson ahead, then hitting another driving layup for a personal 8-0 run and a 67-61 Towson lead with 1:56 left.
- Delaware got back to within one, but Towson held control. Tarke stole a pass and raced down for a dunk, then Tomiwa Sulaiman hit two free throws to send Towson up seven. Towson hit more free throws in the final minute for the 76-66 victory.
