Dylan Williamson and
Tyler Tejada all score in double figures in a tightly contested game that saw the Tigers play within two possessions for much of the game before the Cougars pulled ahead late to win 65-48.
"We have to improve on our execution," head coach
Pat Skerry said. "You just can't string together a couple of bad possessions."

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Towson jumped out to an early 5-2 lead, marking the first time Houston has trailed this season
- The Tigers went cold from the field after that, conceding a 17-0 run over the next seven and a half minutes
- Towson pulled within four late in the second half 30-26 before three Houston free throws gave the Cougars a seven point lead at half
- An early offensive spurt in the second half saw the Tigers draw back to a three-point deficit, the closest they were since 8-5 in the first half
- Two runs marked the next stage of the game with Houston going on a 9-0 run to bring the lead to 12. The teams traded baskets before Towson went on a 7-0 run of their own to bring the score to 51-46
- From that point, Houston went on a 14-0 run that nearly finished the game if not for a Doumbia Jr dunk in the final minute

- Towson has played Houston twice, both times they conceded 65 points
- This is the lowest three-point shooting percentage (0.167) Towson has held a team to since Stony Brook last season
