TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men's basketball team will conclude its non-conference schedule at home against Sacred Heart on Monday at 2 p.m. The Tigers will start conference play at William & Mary on December 29.
SCOUTING SACRED HEART
Sacred Heart is 5-7 on the season, having already played two games in conference. Yann Farell is the only player to start every game this season for the Pioneers. He averages just under 10 points a game. Three players average double figures in Dashon Gittens (16.3 ppg), Anquan Hill (14.9 ppg) and Nyle Ralph-Beyer (14.1 ppg). Hill is also the team's leading rebounder at 6.2 rpg. On the defensive end, four players average more than one steal a game with Gittens (2 spg), Mekhi Conner (1.2 spg), Yann Farell (1.1 spg) and Jaden Slaughter (1.1 spg). Sacred Heart attempts more three point shots than two point shots with 380 attempts from deep and 365 attempts inside the arc. The Pioneers look to be one of the better MAAC teams, slated to finish third in the conference in the preseason poll.
SACRED HEART NOTES
This game is the final non conference game of the 2025-26 season for the Tigers. The Pioneers have already played two conference games.
Towson and Sacred Heart have played once prior to this game in SECU Arena, an 83-61 win on December 5, 2015. The 22 point margin of victory is the largest against a current MAAC team in the
Pat Skerry era.
Towson has never played a MAAC team on the road.
