Towson Football Recognized in Phil Steele Postseason CAA All-Conference Awards

TOWSON, Md. – 11 Towson University football players were selected as Phil Steele Postseason CAA All-Conference honorees.
 
Four of the 11 were placed on the Second Team: Xavier Terry and Myles Brodie at defensive back, Bryce LaFollette at punter and Lukkas Londono at kick returner.  Jean Germain is on Third Team at offensive line while three are on Fourth Team: John Dunmore at wide receiver, Dan Volpe on offensive line and Alfred Thomas at linebacker.  Three more got Fifth Team: Jaceon Doss at wide receiver, Ja'Mez Drummer at linebacker and Caden Williams at kicker.
 
Phil Steele is a college football publication which reports on FBS and FCS.  The publication releases preseason and postseason All-America and all-conference selections at both levels.

Towson won its final two games of the year to finish 6-6 overall and 4-4 in the CAA.  It is the sixth time in the last seven fall seasons where Towson has finished .500 or better in league play.
 
Terry started all 12 games at safety, finishing second on the team with 73 tackles.  The graduate student had nine games with at least five tackles each.
 
Brodie tied for third in the CAA with 12 passes defended on two interceptions and 10 pass break-ups.  The graduate student added 53 tackles and two forced fumbles.
 
LaFollette was Towson's punter and holder in all 12 games, averaging 43.5 per punt on the season.  He had 11 punts of over 50 yards and placed 20 punts inside the 20.
 
Londono returned 20 kickoffs for Towson, averaging 24.8 yards per return for 495 total kickoff yards.  The redshirt senior had a 96-yard kickoff return for a touchdown on Sept. 6 vs. Morgan State.
 
Germain, Towson's starting right guard in all 12 games, and Volpe, the starting left tackle in 11 games, helped anchor a Towson line that finished second in the CAA in fewest sacks allowed, protecting CAA Co-Offensive Rookie of the Year Andrew Indorf.
 
Dunmore was Towson's leader in receptions with 54 and receiving touchdowns with seven, having 633 yards.  The graduate student had at least four catches in 10 games.
 
Thomas, who started all 12 games at linebacker, was Towson's leader in tackles with 76, adding 3.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.  He had at least seven tackles in five of the last seven games.
 
Doss led the CAA with 22.7 yards per catch, totaling 657 yards on 29 catches with five touchdowns.  He had three games with over 100 receiving yards.
 
Playing in 11 games at linebacker, Drummer tallied up 57 tackles and two interceptions plus was Towson's sacks leader with five.  He had five games with at least five tackles.
 
Williams finished with a 88.2% field goal rate on 15-of-17 attempts, the top field goal % in Towson history.  He also was a perfect 36-for-36 on extra point attempts.
