Dylan Williamson set a new career high in assists with eight as the Towson Tigers defeated the Cornell Big Red 93-80 at SECU Arena on Wednesday.
The 93 points are the most Towson has scored in the
Pat Skerry era against a DI opponent in the non-conference slate versus a team outside of Baltimore.

- Towson and Cornell were even in points of turnovers, points in the paint and fast break points with Towson only having a two point lead in bench points. Towson held a 15 point advantage in second chance points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Towson took the lead early before Cornell went on an 11-0 run to take a 15-8 lead.
- The Tigers battled back to tie it up at 8:10 let in the first half.
- From there, the two teams fought back and forth with no team getting more than a four point lead before the Big Red entered the half up one.
- Towson played steady, controlling basketball eventually taking the lead back at the 16:44 mark of the second half and held it the rest of the way.
- The game was punctuated with an 8-0 run that brought the Tiger lead to 14, solidifying the win.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Towson's 58 points in the second half were the most they scored this season.
- Cornell came into the game with 53% of their shots coming from three. This game only saw 34% of attempts come from beyond the arc.
- Towson only missed eight shots in the second half.
