TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men's basketball team will face UCF on Sunday at 4 p.m. in Orlando. The Tigers are facing two straight Big 12 teams to wrap up three Big 12 opponents faced in the non-conference slate.
 
SCOUTING UCF
UCF is 7-1 on the season, currently riding a six game winning streak. They opened their season against a CAA team in Hofstra, coming away with a four point win. The Golden Knights score the ball well, posting more than 80 points in all but one game this season. In the lone game below 80 points, they scored 77 points. UCF stays in the Sunshine State for most of the non-conference slate, only going to College Station, Texas. The Golden Knights have four players averaging double figures with Riley Kugel leading the way at 15.1 points per game. Two players nearly average a double-double. Themus Fulks averages 10.1 points per game and 7.4 assists per game. Jamichael Stillwell averages 11.9 points per game and 8.4 rebounds per game.
 
RETURNERS
Towson is one of only five schools to have a conference player of the year return to their school for the 2025-26 season in Tyler Tejada. The Tigers are also the only team in the CAA to return All-CAA players in Tejada and Dylan Williamson.
 
TRANSFERS
Towson added some key names in the portal. Jack Doumbia comes from Wright State and was used in over 28% of their possessions. Tyler Schmidt joins Towson after a year at Valparaiso where he shot .465 from the field, .382 from deep and .855 from the charity stripe. Mor Seck provides length in the lanes at 7'0" with a 7'3.5" wingspan after spending last season at Fresno State.
