CATONSVILLE, Md. – The Towson University baseball team returned to Baltimore County to face the UMBC Retrievers at Alumni Field in Catonsville.
After
Brett Ahalt put Towson (13-23, 5-7 CAA) on the board in the top of the first inning with a solo home run, runs from the third inning on delivered an 11-1 win to UMBC (13-16, 6-6 AEC) in seven innings.

- Towson starter Jace Cunnane (0-2) took the loss, allowing five runs, four earned, on five hits and a walk in 3.0 innings pitched. Cunnane fanned three batters.

How it Happened
- Brett Ahalt put Towson on the scoreboard in the first inning on a solo home run to center field.
- With runners on the corners in the bottom of the fourth, a wild pitch allowed UMBC to tie the game.
- The Retrievers added four runs in the next frame, all on Paris' grand slam.
- Paris picked up another RBI in the next inning on a sacrifice fly, pushing UMBC's lead to 6-1.
- The Retrievers extended their lead to eight runs in the bottom of the sixth, scoring three runs on four hits.
- With a runner on base in the bottom of the seventh, Droz's home run ended the game 11-1 in favor the Retreivers.
