- A Briyana Wright single put two on with two outs in the top of the 5th for Towson, but Cara Bohner flew out to end the half-inning.

- Hess worked around a one-out walk of Franczyk to keep Towson off the board in the 6th, and Medina sent Delaware down in order in the bottom half of the inning to keep the game 4-0 entering the 7th inning.
- Kostick's two-out single couldn't spark a rally as Hess completed her complete game shutout and Delaware defeated Towson 4-0.
