TOWSON, Md. – For the fourth time in program history, the Towson University men's basketball team will be headed to legendary Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, Kansas to face the Kansas Jayhawks.
The Tigers will face the six-time national champions, who are 869-121 (.878) in 70 seasons at Allen Fieldhouse, on December 16.
"I have tremendous respect for Bill Self and the Kansas program. It will be an incredible challenge and a great opportunity for us to get to play Kansas, one of the premier teams in the country," Towson head coach
Pat Skerry said.
Towson first played Kansas in November 2006 then returned in Skerry's first game as Towson head coach (November 11, 2011) and again two seasons later.
Five of the 13 non-conference games for the 2025-26 have now been announced.
Skerry's squad will open the season versus Loyola (Md.) at the CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore on November 3 and play three games between November 24-26 in the Terry's Chocolate ESPN Events Invitational near Orlando.
Coming off its first outright Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) regular season title, Towson returns its top two players in CAA Player of the Year
Tyler Tejada and
Dylan Williamson, who earned Second Team all-conference honors. The Tigers have won at least 20 games in four consecutive seasons and have an impressive 54-18 record in league play since the 2021-22 season.
