TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University volleyball team has released its schedule for the upcoming 2025 season, announced by Head Coach
Don Metil on Monday afternoon.
Towson is coming off a 24-6 season and its seventh-consecutive appearance in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Championship semifinal game, excluding the 2020 season impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Tigers return nine players from a season ago, including the senior trio of middle blocker
Erin Brothers, libero
Sydney Stewart and outside hitter
Sarah Callender. Joining the squad ahead of the 2025 season are Colorado State transfer
Taylor Pagan, Old Dominion transfer
Tshilanda Diouf and
Temuulen Sansarbold, a middle blocker transfer out of Mongolia.

Towson begins its season in Norfolk, Va., to compete in the Quest for the Crown on Aug. 29 & 30, hosted by Old Dominion. The Tigers open the weekend vs. West Virginia at 10 a.m. on Friday and return later that afternoon to face Fairfield at 4:30 p.m. Towson concludes its trip on Sunday vs. the hosting Monarchs at 4 p.m.
In the second weekend of regular season play, the Tigers return to SECU Arena to host the Towson-Morgan State Invite on Sept. 5 & 6. They'll face Stonehill College on Friday at noon and Quinnipiac at 7 p.m. that evening. On Saturday, the Black & Gold face New Orleans at 10 a.m. before matching up vs. Kent State at 7 p.m. New Orleans and Stonehill will play a neutral-site match on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at SECU Arena.
The Tigers play host again as a part of the Towson-Coppin State Invitational on Sept. 13 & 14 in the final weekend before conference play begins. They'll face Iona and Princeton on Friday at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m., respectively. On Saturday, Towson matches up against Lafayette and Penn. The Tigers face the Leopards at 10 a.m. and the Quakers at 6 p.m. Lafayette and Penn will play a neutral-site match on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at SECU Arena.
Towson begins Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) play at home vs. the defending CAA champion Charleston Cougars on Sept. 20 & 21. Both matches are scheduled for noon starts.
The Tigers visit Boston to face Northeastern on Sept. 26 & 27 for the first conference road series of the season. They'll face the Huskies on Friday at 4 p.m. and Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Cabot Center.
The UNCW Seahawks visit Towson to begin October for matches at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, and 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 5.
The Black & Gold visit Williamsburg, Va., on Oct. 10 & 11 to face William & Mary at 6 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.
Elon visits the following week for two matches. The first is on Friday, Oct. 17, at 6 p.m., and the second is Saturday, Oct. 18, at 2 p.m.
The penultimate conference road trip takes the Tigers to Hampton, Va., to face the Pirates on Oct. 23 & 24. The teams will play at 6 p.m. on Thursday and 2 p.m. on Friday.
Towson welcomes Stony Brook to town for the final home weekend of the conference slate on Oct. 31 & Nov. 1. The Tigers and Seawolves will play on Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m.
The Black & Gold conclude the CAA schedule vs. Hofstra on Nov. 7 & 8. The Tigers and Pride will play at 5 p.m. on Friday and 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Towson faces Coppin State in the final match of the regular season on Nov. 12 at 6 p.m. during its CAA bye week.
The Tigers are set to host the CAA Championship at SECU Arena from Nov. 20 – 22.
