Men's and Women's Swim & Dive Earn Season Opening Victories Over LaSalle

TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men's and women's swimming & diving teams began the 2025-26 season hosting LaSalle for a nonconference dual meet. It was an excellent start to the season for the Tigers as women's swim & dive won 214-86 and men's swim & dive won 212-88.

How it Happened Women:
  • Shannon Parrau won both dive events scoring 280.80 in the 1M dive and 279.90 in the 3M dive.
  • Addie Scott, Riley Willett, Julianna Wahl, and Ryland Zuniga won the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:45.82.
  • Rookie Kaitlyn Besner won her first Towson race as she got the victory in the 1000 free with a time of 10:40.72.
  • Addie Scott swam a time of 1:51.26 to win the 200 free.
  • Madison Neal won the 100 back with a time of 58.23.
  • Riley Willett placed first in the 100 breast swimming a time of 1:05.84.
  • Bjartey Gudmundsdottir took top spot in the 50 free with a time of 24.35.
  • Ryland Zuniga claimed victory in the 100 free with a time of 53.53.
  • The win in the 200 back went to Addie Scott who swam a time of 2:03.03
  • Summer Bontrager got the win in the 500 free with a time of 5:11.98.
  • Willett won the 100 fly with a time of 57.06.
  • A time of 2:11.61 earned Dylan Gustaff the win in the 200 IM.
  • Gudmundsdottir, Scott, Zuniga and Willett closed things out with a win in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:36.12.
 
How it Happened Men:
  • Sam Tennell swept the boards with scores of 314.40 in the 1M dive and 304.95 in the 3M dive.
  • Sean Colson, Jed Garner, Benjamin Eischeid, and Daniel McLaughlin took first in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:30.52.
  • Christian Davidson making his Towson debut topped the podium in the 1000 free with a time of 9:39.73.
  • Sean Colson was over two seconds faster than anyone else in the 100 back with a time of 50.31.
  • Jed Garner kicked off his first Towson season swimming 56.71 in the 100 breast to win the event.
  • Eischeid touched the wall first in the 50 free with a time of 21.18.
  • Colson won the 200 back as well with a time of 1:51.08.
  • Garner completed the sweep of the breast events with a winning time of 2:05.96 in the 200 breast.
  • Davidson took his second victory of the day in the 500 free with a time of 4:43.96.
  • Garner earned his third win of the meet with a 1:57.37 time in the 200 IM.
  • McLaughlin, Stephen McDonald, Jake Wade and Eischeid ended the meet strong with a 200 free relay win with a time of 1:23.89.

The Tigers are hitting the road next weekend starting with a visit to Fordham for a dual meet beginning at 4 p.m. on Friday, October 3.
