TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men's basketball team dropped a tightly contested game against UNCW on Thursday 82-73 which saw Towson set a new season high for lead changes with 20. Eighteen of those 20 came in the first half.

- Tyler Tejada led Towson with 16 points.
- Dylan Williamson added four assists to his 12 point night.
- Jack Doumbia Jr. returned to the starting lineup and posted his third straight double digit scoring game with 13 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- UNCW jumped out to a quick 6-2 lead but Towson fought back to even the score at 9-9 just after the first media timeout.
- The first of 18 first half lead changes happened at 12:44 with the final first half lead change coming with 67 seconds left on the clock.
- The Seahawks would take a two-point lead into the locker room.
- The lead would change twice more in the game when a Doumbia Jr. jumper in the paint to give Towson a 40-39 lead. UNCW regained the lead with two free throws at the 17:33 mark and did not give the lead back.
- Towson would get as close as three with just over a minute left on the clock but could not get the finishing touch to take the lead.

- The margin never reached double digits in favor of either team.
- Towson's previous season high for lead changes with 12 against Norfolk State. There were 13 lead changes from 12:44 in the first half through the 4:01 mark in the first half.

He puts up 2.3 assists per game, good for second on the team behind Gaines[1]Wyatt who averages 3.3 per game. Long is the only player on the team to average more than 30 minutes per game at 33.8.
