TOWSON, Md. – Towson University women's soccer will host Northeastern at Tiger Field at 3 p.m. on Saturday. The match features two of the five Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) North Division teams who are within three points of each other in the standings. Towson soccer matches at Tiger Field are free to attend.

Towson sits atop the CAA North Division standings with 12 points. If Towson wins, it will have 15 points with two matches to go. Last season, the first with the CAA North and South Divisions, no team with at least 15 points missed the postseason.

The Huskies are the only CAA team that a Katherine Vettori-led Tigers team has not been able to defeat. Towson's defense has held strong in the past five meetings, despite going 0-2-3 conceding five goals with one clean sheet.

In the most recent match between the two sides, Towson and Northeastern played to a 1-1 draw in Brookline, Massachusetts. Towson doubled the shots and shots on target of Northeastern in the match but the goals remained level.

Towson defeated Charleston 2-0 at home in its most recent match. Northeastern is coming off a 3-0 loss to Campbell at home. The Tigers are 4-2-1 at home while Northeastern is 4-1-2 on the road.

Sophie Thibeault has a goal contribution in each of her past six matches, all CAA contests. Northeastern has been kept in games by goalkeeper Eliza Teplow, who leads the CAA in saves.

Following this match, Towson will head on the road for the penultimate regular season match against Monmouth at 1 p.m. on Oct. 25.
