TOWSON, Md. – Towson University women's soccer will face UNCW Thursday night at Tiger Field in a match of the first-place teams in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) North and CAA South Divisions.
 
Towson is on a three-match winning streak, having outscored its opponents 9-1 in this stretch. UNCW has not lost yet in CAA play, extending its unbeaten streak that started at the first match of the 2025 season.
 
Towson is coming off a 4-0 win over Stony Brook on Sunday. The Tigers scored three goals in the first half and three goals from corners. UNCW defeated 2025 CAA Champion Elon 5-1 in its most recent match.
 
The Tigers and Seahawks started their series in 1994 when Towson played in the Big South Conference. Towson won that match 2-0 before losing 16 of the next 19 between the two teams. Since 2022, the Tigers have not conceded a goal to the Seahawks, going 1-0-2 in that time. The lone win was a 3-0 win in Towson on Oct. 8, 2023.
 
Sophie Thibeault continues to shine for Towson, having scored in every match of the three-match winning streak. Towson is 4-0 when Thibeault scores. UNCW is led by Hailey Longwell. The 2025 CAA Attacking Player of the Year has five goals this season and was on the Mac Hermann Watch List until the most recent iteration.
 
Towson continues its homestand against Charleston on Sunday, Oct. 11 at 1 p.m. It will be the Pink Game with the first 50 fans getting a pink T-shirt.
