TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men's basketball team travels to Philadelphia on Sunday afternoon for a Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) rematch versus the Drexel. Late game heroics by Jack Doumbia Jr. lifted the Tigers (14-13, 6-8 CAA) to a 59-58 win over the Dragons (14-14, 8-7 CAA) on January 19 at SECU Arena. Doumbia Jr. hit two free throws with seven seconds remaining to give Towson the lead then blocked a shot four seconds later to seal the victory. 


SCOUTING DREXEL
Shane Blakeney leads Drexel in scoring, averaging 13.9 points per game. The redshirt junior guard also tops the Dragons in steals and blocks and is second in assists and rebounds. Drexel is 10-4 at home this season and has won five of seven CAA games at Daskalakis Athletic Center.
 
SERIES NOTES
This will be the 84th meeting between the two schools, dating back to December 1969. The Tigers have won 10 of the last 12 meetings, including five straight. The past two regular season games between have each been decided by one point and the Tigers rallied to defeat Drexel in overtime on the road last January. In five career games, Dylan Williamson is averaging 19 points per game, including a career-best 32 in the CAA tournament last season. Tyler Tejada has scored 69 points versus the Dragons in the last four matchups.
