WASHINGTON, D.C. –
Tyler Tejada poured in his second consecutive 30 point game as the Towson University men's basketball team (19-14, 9-9 CAA) won its first ever game over Charleston (21-11, 14-4 CAA) in the CAA Tournament.
The Tigers will now face the winner of six seed William & Mary and three seed Hofstra in the CAA semifinals.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Williamson started the scoring with a three ball from way behind the arc to get Towson an early lead that the Tigers would not give up.
- Towson opened the game on a 9-2 run, punctuated by a Doumbia Jr. layup.
- The Tigers were able to extend their lead to 10 with just under five minutes left in the first half on a Tyler Tejada shot from deep.
- Towson eventually extended its lead to 14 as the half was coming to a close before a Charleston three pointer late in the half cut the deficit to 11 going into the locker room.
- The second half started with a 13-0 run for Towson which was composed, in part, with three different three point baskets.
- The margin remained in the 20s the rest of the way before the Tigers came away with the 25 point win.

- The 25 point margin of victory is the second largest margin in the CAA Tournament in the Pat Skerry era.
- Tejada's 65 points are the most he has scored in any two game stretch in his career.
- Charleston was held to 24 points in the second half.

Towson will face the winner of Hofstra and William and Mary at 8:30 p.m. on Monday. Towson is 0-2 this season against Hofstra with both games being decided by double-digits. The Pride are led by CAA Player of the Year Cruz Davis who averages 39.3 minutes per game in conference play while putting up 19.6 points per game. The Pride also boast the CAA Rookie of the Year Preston Edmead who scores 15.4 points per game.
William & Mary boasts the fastest offense in the country per KenPom. Their leading scorer has not started a game this season in Reese Miller at 12.3 points per game.
