TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University softball team faced George Mason in a non-conference game on Tuesday.
Isabella Canesi's fifth homerun of the year wasn't enough as the Tigers lost to the Patriots 10-1 in five innings.

How it Happened:
- The Patriots struck early as a walk and four singles in the top of the 1st allowed George Mason to plate four runs before the Tigers first at-bats.
- Two-out walks from Grace Franczyk and Addie Ferguson failed to start a bottom of the 1st rally for the Tigers.
- The Patriots picked up two more runs from another single before a two-run triple and an RBI sacrifice fly made it a five-run 2nd inning for George Mason who led 9-0 after two innings.
- Jessa Pieters pitching in relief sent the Patriots down in order in the 3rd.
- George Mason added another run in the 4th to make it 10-0.
- Isabella Canesi led off the bottom of the 4th with her fifth homerun of the year to put Towson on the board. Addison Miller hit her second single of the day later in the inning, but the Tiger's couldn't find any more runs.
- After another scoreless inning from Pieters, the Tiger's went down in order in the bottom of the 5th to seal a 10-1 loss to the Patriots.
