Dunmore Signs Pro Contract with CFL’s Ottawa Redblacks

OTTAWA, Ontario – John Dunmore will beginning his professional career this summer, signing with the Ottawa Redblacks in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for the upcoming 2026 campaign.
 
This will be Dunmore's first professional contract after finishing his Towson career in 2025.
 
Dunmore earned All-CAA Second Team wide receiver recognition in 2025.  In 26 career games played for the Tigers from 2023-25, he finished with 96 receptions, 1,252 receiving yards and 12 receiving touchdowns.  The Fort Lauderdale, Florida native also played special teams with 23 punt returns and 10 kickoff returns plus had a passing and rushing touchdown.
 
In 2025, Towson alum Tibo Debaillie played his fifth season in the CFL, including fourth with the BC Lions, while Robert Javier was a signee with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
 
Towson has a long history of players competing in the USA's northern neighbor, including with the Redblacks.  Towson alum Frank Beltre played for Ottawa in 2021 while Roman Wahrheit was a practice squad member for the Redblacks in 2023.
