TOWSON, Md. – Three Towson University players have been recognized by the league in the 2026 Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Preseason Honors.
 
KJ Brooks earned CAA Preseason All-Conference at offensive line while quarterback Andrew Indorf and long snapper Daniel Anderla are CAA Preseason All-Conference Honorable Mention.  All three are honored with preseason league awards
 
The league also announced its predicted order of finish, with Towson coming in at sixth with 93 points.  Defending CAA champion Rhode Island got first in the preseason poll with the maximum amount of first-place votes at 12 (head coaches cannot vote for their own team) for 144 points, followed by Monmouth at 119.  Elon is third at 115 followed by New Hampshire at 106 and Stony Brook, which received the lone remaining first-place vote.  After Towson, the rest of the poll is filled out by Maine (88), Campbell (56), Bryant (50), Sacred Heart (49), UAlbany (35), North Carolina A&T (28) and Hampton (26).
 
The preseason all-conference teams and the league order of finish are nominated and voted on by the league's head coaches.
 
The preseason awards were announced on the start of CAA Media Day.  Towson won its final two games of the 2025 season to finish 6-6 overall and 4-4 in the CAA.  It is the sixth time in the last seven fall seasons where Towson has finished .500 or better in league play.

Brooks, a former FCS Freshman All-American in 2023, has been Towson's primary player at right tackle for the past three seasons.  In 2025, the senior from Olney, Maryland started all 12 games for the Tigers, having starts at right tackle, left guard and left tackle.
 
Indorf, the 2025 CAA Co-Rookie of the Year, was Towson's starting quarterback in all 12 games last year, throwing 59.6% for 2,344 yards, 16 touchdowns and just four interceptions, helping Towson have the fewest interceptions among CAA teams.
 
Anderla worked as Towson's long snapper in all 12 games as a redshirt freshman in 2025.  Towson's kicker and punter each were all-conference honorees, including Caden Williams setting a Towson single season record for best field goal percentage at 88.2%.
 
Towson opens the season with a Thursday night contest vs. Maine on Aug. 27 at 6 p.m. for the annual Gold Rush game.
