TOWSON, Md. –
Jack Doumbia Jr. was selected 19th overall by the Coachella Valley Lakers in the 2026 NBA G League International Draft.
The NBA G League International Draft allows teams to retain rights of international players but does not guarantee those players a spot on those teams. Doumbia Jr. represents the Ivory Coast.
Doumbia Jr. played his final collegiate season with the Tigers after a tumultuous college career that saw him play at two community colleges and three four-year universities over a six-year collegiate career.
His impact was immediate for Towson in his only season with the Tigers. Doumbia Jr. played a pivotal role as the sixth man, averaging 23.8 minutes off the bench. At no point during the 2025-26 season did Doumbia Jr. average fewer than 10 points per game.
In the Campbell game, Doumbia Jr. provided the key defensive play in the final seconds when he stole the ball and hit the go ahead lay up to secure the win. His defensive acumen showed throughout the season, leading the team in steals while being second in blocks.
