TOWSON, Md. – Towson University women's soccer will head north for its furthest non-conference road trip to face Saint John's on Thursday, Aug. 20 at 4 p.m. The match will be broadcast on ESPN+.
The Tigers and Red Storm most recently played to a 1-1 draw in Towson during the 2024 season.
In the season opener for Towson, the Tigers scored twice in the first 20 minutes of action to put the match to bed early, defeating Mount St. Mary's 2-0. St. John's has started the season 0-2 with both matches ending 2-1.
THE KICKOFF

• Towson will play Saint John's for just the fifth time in the program's history. It will be the second time the two sides are playing in the Katherine Vettori era.
• The series between the two sides is historically very low scoring with only four goals scored between both teams across the four matches all-time.
• The highest scoring affair was the 2024 match in Towson, a 1-1 draw.
• In the 2024 tilt, Kale'a Perry scored the only Towson goal. Perry already has one goal on the 2026 season ledger.
• Towson has played 24 matches against current Big East teams all-time, playing to a 5-16-3 record. In the Vettori era, there has only been one match, the 2024 match against Saint John's.
• The Big Red are at the bottom of the Big East in both shots and shots on goal per game.
• Kale'a Perry was named CAA Preseason Player of the Year for Towson while Sophie Thibeault and Emely Rubio joined her with All-CAA preseason recognition. As a team, Towson was picked to finish fourth in the north division.
• The Big Red were picked to finish ninth in the 11-team Big East women's soccer preseason coaches poll. No Johnnies were picked onto an all-conference team.
