TOWSON, Md. – Towson University women's soccer will play its first match at home of the 2026 season when they host George Washington at Tiger Field at 6 p.m. The match will be broadcast on FloCollege.

The Tigers and Revolutionaries most recently played last season. Towson won 2-0, the first Tiger win all-time at George Washington.

Towson is 1-1-0 on the season after losing its match against St. John's on a last second goal. George Washington is 1-1-1 with two clean sheets this season.

THE KICKOFF

• Towson faces George Washington for the fifth time in the past six years.
• This will be the seventh match in nine seasons that Katherine Vettori has been at the helm.
• In last year's match, Emma Levin recorded her first collegiate goal, assisted by Jaelyn White's first collegiate assist.
• This will be the earliest match between the two sides in the calendar year in the series history. The previous earliest was Aug. 24, 2009/
• Three Tigers have scored so far this season. Kale'a Perry started the scoring with Meron Koro adding to the ledger against Mount Saint Mary's. Sofia Rosenblatt scored her first collegiate goal in Towson's second match of the season.
• George Washington is led offensively by the two goals of Kalia Kau. Defensively, GW goalkeeper Jasmine Black has clean sheets in two of the three matches this season.
• Towson has shot the ball at least 10 times in each of the five matches dating back to last year. George Washington has conceded fewer than 10 shots in two of the first three matches this season.
• Three field players for Towson have played the full 90 minutes in each of the first two matches with backline stalwarts, Brooke Birrell and Sydney Lindeman and midfielder, Sofia Rosenblatt yet to leave the pitch.
• Emely Rubio reentered the starting lineup against St. John's after not playing the first match of the season. She previously started every match of the 2025 season, leading the conference in assists.

Following this game, Towson heads on the road to former CAA rival Delaware on Thurs., Aug. 27 at 6 p.m.
