TOWSON, Md. – Towson University's Seth Chestnut has been honored as the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Rookie of the Week announced by the league on Monday.
 
Chestnut earns his first CAA weekly award and is Towson's first CAA Rookie of the Week since Andrew Indorf on Nov. 3, 2025.
 
The redshirt freshman from Sanderson, Florida tied for the team lead in tackles for Towson on Thursday with seven in the team's narrow 21-18 defeat vs. Maine.  Chestnut also led Towson with 1.5 tackles for loss.
 
Towson next heads to the state capital to take on Navy on Saturday, Sept. 5 at 3:30 p.m.
