TOWSON, Md. – Towson University men's golf will start the 2026-27 season at the Doc Gimmler Invitational hosted by St. John's in Farmingdale, N.Y.

Participating for the Tigers is Sky Aung, Derek Johnson, Kyle Beaudry, Ryan Hoffner and Ariihau Faana. Aung participated in the last appearance at the Doc Gimmler Invitational for Towson in 2024 where he placed in the top 15 at 13-over par.

There will be 14 participating schools in Boston College, Bryant, Columbia, Hofstra, Iona, Lafayette, Lehigh, LIU, Providence, St. John's (host), Rhode Island, Towson, UConn and Yale. Teams will begin to tee off at 7:30 a.m.

Two rounds will be played on Saturday while one round will be played on Sunday.

Towson returns key contributors from last season. Aung and Faana are both top five all-time in career scoring average for the Tigers. Last season Aung turned in the third best single season scoring average in Towson history. While Faana turned in the 10th best single season scoring average in Towson history.
