Postgame Quote, Towson Head Coach Pete Shinnick
  • "It's a great honor to play here. Tremendous environment. We've played a couple of FBS teams the first three years here and this is the best environment we've played in. This was fun. So, credit to Navy, credit to this setting. Secondly, I thought our guys played hard. We knew containing their quarterback was going to be difficult and it turned out to be difficult. He's a very good player. We overran him a couple times, we were tight on him a couple times, he'll go inside, he'll go outside. You got to be perfect. Credit to him, credit to Coach [Drew] Cronic and his offense. They do an amazing job."
Key Situations
  • 1st quarter: After an opening Towson three-and-out, Navy scored on its first drive, capped by a 38-yard rollout to the right for a touchdown by Braxton Woodson.  Towson got a couple of first downs using the air attack, but after a punt, Navy scored again on the ground, capped by a 35-yard touchdown run from Vic Listorti.  Navy led 14-0 after one.
  • 2nd quarter: Started by the drive from the first quarter, Andrew Indorf threw a perfect pass to Aaron Enterline just outside the end zone for a 48-yard touchdown pass and a 14-6 score.  Navy countered with another long all-rushing drive, finished by a Jackson Gutierrez QB rush 3-yard touchdown with 9:32 left in the quarter.  Towson went back to the air on offense, with Indorf hitting Jacob Zollar in stride for a 30-yard touchdown and pulling Towson within nine at 21-12.  Navy added a last drive touchdown in the half to lead 28-12 at the break.
