TOWSON, Md. - The Towson University field hockey team defeated Rider 1-0 on Sunday via an overtime winner from Bailey Masten. A scoreless draw entered the fifth period before a Tiger corner led to Masten's goal to improve Towson to 2-2 on the season while Rider falls to 0-4.

• 2^nd Quarter: Towson won its second corner one-minute into the second quarter, but a save by Regnart for Rider kept Lydia Bennett off the scoresheet. The Tiger's best chance of the half came when Baliey Masten stole the ball off a Bronco defender putting her one-on-one with the goalie, but Regnart made the save and the game remained 0-0 at the half.
• 3^rd Quarter: The Tigers best chance of the third came two and a half minutes into the period as a penalty corner was delivered to Anouk Westerink whose shot was stopped by the pads of Regnart and Else Wismans's follow-up went just wide.
• 4^th Quarter: With three minutes left in the game, Rider won a pair of corners, but the Bronco's first two shots of the game were blocked by the Tiger defense, and the game went into overtime.
• Overtime: The first half of the overtime period was uneventful but the Tigers won a corner with six minutes left in the period. Delfina Larripa delivered to Westerink whose shot was saved. But the ball came back to Westerink who sent it back into the middle of the circle and Masten knocked it by Regnart and into the Bronco net to deliver a 1-0 Towson win.

• This was Towson's first overtime win since defeating William & Mary 2-1 in the extra period on September 27, 2024.
