BALTIMORE, Md. - The Towson University volleyball team concluded its weekend with the team's fourth straight win after defeating Morgan State on Sunday in Baltimore.

Towson's (4-2) dominant .425-.071 hitting percentage over Morgan State (1-5) allowed the Tigers to sweep in three sets (25-17, 25-21, 25-10). 

Key Stats 

• The Tigers outpaced the Bears in kills, 43-26. 
• Towson outhit Morgan State in each set, including a dominant .441 hitting percentage with 16 kills in set one. 
• Anna Rice led the Tigers with 11 kills on just 16 swings and had a season-high five serving aces. 
• Malinah Purcell-Telefoni added 10 kills and two blocks.
• Setters Kaitlyn Moran and Peyton Meyer combined for 36 assists.

Key Situations 

• Set One: The Tigers posted 16 kills with just one error to take the opening set, 25-17. Taylor Pagan (six), Purcell-Telefoni (five) and Rice (four) combined for the 15 of the 16 kills. 
• Set Two: Down 14-10 midway through the set, the Black & Gold scored 15 of the last 22 points. Middle blockers Purcell-Telefoni and Clara Vorel combined for five kills while Rice contributed two aces during the run. 
• Set Three: Towson scored 10 of the first 11 points of the set, with two kills and two aces from Rice during the run. She finished the set with four kills and three aces.

Inside the Numbers 

• Rice has led the team in kills in all six games this season. The sophomore has 84 kills, 38 more than any other player, and is hitting .369.

Towson will host the three-day Tiger Invitational beginning on Friday, September 11 with matches beginning at 10 a.m at SECU Arena.
