Biography
2021: Mainstay in the Towson linebacker unit, playing in all 11 games with three starts... finished the season with 14 tackles and a pair of quarterback hurries... began the season with a season-high four tackles, two quarterback hurries and a half-sack in The Battle For Greater Baltimore victory at Morgan State (9/4), having a pair of three-tackle games in the next three weeks.
2019: Appeared in all 12 games as a member of the special teams unit and linebacker... Recorded tackles in victories vs. N.C. Central (8/31) and Bucknell (10/19).
2018: Played at linebacker and on special teams in 10 games...combined for five tackles, including two games with two takedowns...Had two tackles and a half-tackle-for-loss vs. James Madison on Nov. 17.
2017: Did not see the field in his rookie season, redshirt year.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played for head coach Tom Hall at Manchester High School…named a unanimous First-Team all-conference selection after recording 79 tackles, 12.5 tackles-for-loss, eight sacks and three forced fumbles as a senior…also garnered First-Team All-Region, Second-Team All-State, Richmond Times Dispatch Second-Team All-Metro and Second-Team all-804 accolades…posted 3.5 tackles-for-loss as a junior…competes in the triple jump and hurdles as a member of the track and field team…rated a two-star recruit by Scout.com.
PERSONAL: Son of Corta and Myia Johnson…has one brother, Micah…majoring in middle school childhood education.
