Biography

2021: Towson's primary starter, tying for second in Towson single season history with 15 starts, also tying for fifth with 83.1 innings pitched, concluded Towson career in the top-10 in Towson history in strikeouts, innings pitched and total starts... finished the year at 3-6 with a 5.72 ERA, leading the team with 58 strikeouts plus had the squad's lone complete game... pitched Towson's first win at Winthrop (2/27) with 6.1 innings, one unearned run and four strikeouts... earned CAA Pitcher of the Week with a victory over UMass (3/20) going seven innings with career-high 10 strikeouts... pitched Towson's first complete game victory since 2018 with nine innings, two runs and seven strikeouts vs. Hofstra (5/14).

2020: Top of the rotation starter for the second year in a row, going 0-3 with a 5.03 ERA in four starts due to the NCAA shortened season... struck out 17 batters in 19.2 innings... went 4.1 innings in his last start of the year vs. Lafayette (3/6), allowing just one earned run in 4.2 innings and striking out six. (15-game shortened season)

2019: Towson's Friday starter, leading the team with 13 games started, 78.2 innings pitched and 56 strikeouts... went 2-8 with a 4.00 ERA, having seven starts with three runs or fewer... one-time CAA Pitcher of the Week after tossing eight innings in a shutout victory over eventual Atlantic-10 champion Fordham (Mar. 15)... picked up conference victory at Hofstra (Apr. 12) with eight innings, one earned run and eight strikeouts, followed by a no-decision off seven innings and one run vs. Delaware (Apr. 20).

2018:  Appeared in 17 games, with 14 appearances coming out of the bullpen…went 1-2 with a 10.24 ERA…made first career start at George Mason…tossed three shutout innings against Coppin State…earned first career victory against Delaware State, allowing two runs over 5.0 innings.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Played for head coach Sean Davis at Sherwood High School…ended junior and senior seasons in the Washington Post Top 10…helped the Warriors to an undefeated regular season as a junior…earned USA Today second-team all-state and Washington Post second-team all-met as a senior after hitting .435 with 12 doubles, 30 RBIs and 22 runs scored…also posted a 1.14 ERA with 33 strikeouts in 24.2 innings…selected as the 4A East Player of the Year…selected to the Brooks Robinson All-Star game at Camden Yards…four-year member of the honor roll…minds in motion scholar-athlete…also the MVP of the basketball team as a senior.

PERSONAL:  Son of Philip and Julie Seils…has three brothers, Brett, Jason and Tyler…grandfather played tennis at Princeton…major is economics.
