Biography
2023: Team captain for the second straight season... played 13 games with two starts in the first midfield... finished the year with four goals, two assists, three ground balls and two caused turnovers... scored a goal in each of the first three games, including a goal and an assist vs. Saint Joseph's (2/18), adding a ground ball and caused turnover... member of the CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll.
2022: Served as a team co-captain … played in 14 games with 12 starts in the midfield … logged 14 points on nine goals and five assists … had two multi-goal games, both resulting in three points with two goals and one assist (Mount St. Mary’s, Feb. 15; at Drexel, April 2) … scored one man-up goal against Mount St. Marys … had a five-game point streak working during the midyear … accounted for one caused turnover while grabbing four ground balls … served just one 60 second penalty.
2021: First Team All-CAA … played in all 14 games, making five starts as a junior midfielder … led Towson’s midfield corps in scoring with 24 points (15g, 9a) … scored on extra-man goal … had a career-best three goals at UMass (April 17) … finished with three points on three different occasions, including three helpers at No. 18 Richmond (Feb. 27).
2020: Played in five games as a sophomore midfielder … made his collegiate debut at No. 11 Johns Hopkins (Feb. 8) in the season opener … scored his first career goal against No. 12 Cornell (Feb. 21) in front of the home crowd … took seven total shots, putting six on cage (85.7 percent) … had one ground ball against the Big Red.
2019: Played in eight games as a freshman midfielder … played primarily on the second midfield unit … made his college debut against No. 7 Johns Hopkins (Feb. 9) … took five shots as a rookie … collected two ground balls.
High School: Played midfield at Calvert Hall for coach Bryan Kelly … MIAA Champion (2017, 2018) … also played for the school’s soccer team.
Personal: Son of Randy and Stacey Swain … has one sibling, Corey … most admires his father … roots for the Baltimore Ravens … favorite actor is Will Ferrell … most memorable experience is winning back-to-back MIAA Championships… major is marketing.
