2023-24: Placed 14^th in 100 back finals at the CAA Championships with a time of 49.22 … finished 11^th in prelims with a season-best 48.42 … swam a personal-best 48.79 (eighth in program history) in 100 fly prelims at CAAs and followed that with an 11^th-place finish in finals with a time of 48.87 … took 23^rd in 200 back prelims at the conference championship meet with a time of 1:52.54 … team captain.

2022-23: Swam the leadoff backstroke leg of the program record-setting 200 medley relay (1:25.17, 22.36 split)... was the leadoff backstroke leg of the program record-setting 400 medley relay (3:10.78, 49.00 split)... took seventh in the 100 back at the CAA Championships, recording a season-best 48.75 in preliminary heats... registerd a season-best 49.10 in prelims of the 100 fly at CAAs, taking 15th in the finals... named to the CAA Academic Honor Roll.

2021-22: Swam middle distance events during his sophomore season … swam in the 100- and 200-yard backstroke, the 100-yard butterfly and the 200-yard breaststroke … won his first four efforts of the year in the 100-yard backstroke and added a fifth later in a dual meet at Drexel (Jan. 22) …  put down two second-place finishes in the same event as well … swam leadoff in the 200-yard medley relay for Towson’s silver-medalist team at CAA Championships … also led off in the 400-yard medley relay, setting Towson up for a silver medal … tied for fourth in the 100-yard backstroke at the CAA meet with a 48.90 second swim … finished second in the B Finals of the 200-yard backstroke (1:49.99).

2020-21: Swam primarily as a sprinter … held the Tigers’ fastest 50-yard backstroke time (22.77 seconds) … added the best time in the 100-yard backstroke (48.32) … logged Towson’s second-best 100-yard butterfly time (48.99) and 200-yard butterfly (1:50.83) … swam leadoff in Towson’s CAA Champion 400-yard medley relay …swam first leg on CAA silver medal 200-yard medley relay … won B Final of the 100-yard butterfly (48.99) … finished third in the 100-yard backstroke (48.73) at CAA meet.

High School: Swam for Keira Cruz in the backstroke and butterfly events …  named NJSIAA Second Team All-Conference … holds school record in the 100-yard backstroke … qualified for the YMCA Nationals 10 times … swam in YMCA Nationals finals several times in individual and relay events … helped lead team to NJSIAA North 2 Group C state championship.

Personal: Son of John and Kristen Bota … has one sibling, Alexis … most admires his parents … volunteered with Support Parsippany Rescue and Recovery … hobbies including kayaking and SCUBA diving … worked as a lifeguard in the summer … favorite athlete is Caeleb Dressel and his favorite book is The Great Gatsby … most memorable experience is becoming a certified SCUBA diver … aims to be a chiropractor and is majoring in exercise science at Towson.
