Biography

After leading the Tigers on the lacrosse field, former All-American Alexa Demski turns her talents to the development branch of the athletic department. Demski was named the development assistant for the Tiger Athletic Fund in the fall of 2013.

Demski earned a Bachelors in electronic media and film from Towson in the spring of 2013. While she was undergraduate Demski led the Tigers to back-to-back Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) women’s lacrosse championships and two appearances in the NCAA Tournament. She earned IWLCA All-American honors in each of her last two seasons and finished her career ranked second in school history with 99 caused turnovers.

Off the lacrosse field, she was an intern with the Towson Sports Network, an office aid worker in the athletic department, a member of the staff at XTSR – Towson’s student radio station and a PAWS representative. For Towson Sports Network, Demski coordinated on-air and pre-recorded interviews for selected broadcasts, created and produced new video content for the website and coordinated video streaming. She worked for the academic support services staff providing office support. At XSTR, she created broadcast copy and assisted in event planning while volunteering at station events. Demski served as the women’s lacrosse team representative for the student advisory committee at Towson.

Off campus, Demski has held internships at 98Rock, where she worked both with the promotions and marketing at station events and with the producers on the Mickey, Amelia and Spiegel morning show. She also worked with the STX Lacrosse company in Baltimore, helping to promote the STX brand at the largest women’s lacrosse and field hockey summer events.
